BIReady Introduction By a BI/DWH Solution we mean: a central Data Warehouse (normalized, with history) and Data Marts (most of them based on the concept of Star Join Schemas). The generic aspects (i.e. the aspects which can be solved in general) of the processing of source data and building history of these data will be solved by generating software for it. This includes not only support for simple history of objects, but ‘History of History’ as well. The latter if there can be changes with retroactive effect. Furthermore the use of OLAP- and reporting tools will be supported as well. E.g. generating MS OLAP cubes, Cognos PowerPlay cubes, Business ObjectsTM Universes and so on, as this can simply be based on the meta data available in the tool.
